Now, the opening of a brand new high tech facility in Egypt is set to unravel the mysteries of Tutankhamun’s treasures. Beneath Cairo’s Grand Egyptian Museum are 19 state-of-the-art laboratories packed with revolutionary new technology: everything from reflectance transformation imaging, to atom-resolution transmission electron microscopes, to DNA sequencers, to energy dispersive X-Ray fluorescence spectrometers.
