C21: Drive ties the knot in Cannes

Drive Media Rights, the distribution arm of London-based production funding agency Drive, is bringing a documentary about royal weddings to MipTV next month.
Invitation to a Royal Wedding (1×60′) comes from Oxford Films, the prodco behind documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life & Legacy for UK broadcaster ITV.

Ahead of the marriage between Prince Harry and US actor Meghan Markle on May 19, the doc explores the key ingredients necessary to the staging of a royal wedding. It is due to air on ITV on May 11.

Also on Drive’s 40-hour slate of factual content is Undercover: Fighting the Fraudsters (10×60′), produced by Curve Media for Channel 5 in the UK, which sees an investigative journalist explore innovative and widespread scams.

Mafia Killers with Colin McLaren (6×60′), meanwhile, comes from Bedlam and was commissioned by Reelz in the US. It sees former police detective McLaren take a close look at six notorious mobsters.

Other titles include October Films’ Return to Iraq (2×60′), AP Ltd’s The Good Nazi (1×60′) and Ad Hoc Films’ Fight Game (3×30′).

Drive was launched four years ago and provides consultancy services for production company clients including Raw TV, Oxford Films, October Films, Blink, Yap Films and Lightbox. It launched distribution division Drive Media Rights in September 2016.
