Netflix buys rights to BBC Vogue series through Drive
We’re pleased to announce that Netflix has picked up the US rights to the BBC documentary series Absolutely Fashion: Inside British Vogue after striking a deal with Drive Media Rights. The two 60 minute episodes take audiences into the world of British Vogue.
With editor Alexandra Shulman leaving after 25 years in the job, American audiences will have a chance to see how Shulman and her team prepared for the magazine’s 100th-anniversary edition, and kept a photoshoot with Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge under wraps.
Absolutely Fashion was originally produced by Simon Chinn and Jonathan Chinn’s Lightbox for BBC2, with assistance from Drive on the funding side.
It’s the second Netflix deal for Drive, after Angus McQueen’s First Contact: Lost Tribe of the Amazon was picked up last year.
